Currently directs the Construction Materials Laboratory. Develops scientific and pedagogical activity in the area of Construction Materials, is a member of the Territory, Environment, and Construction R&D Center (CTAC), and has 30 years of teaching and research experience. His main research interests are related to eco-efficient construction materials, mineral additions in cementitious mixtures, concrete with high fly ash content, low-cement concrete, and the durability of concrete structures. He holds two patents and has participated in 14 national research projects, six of them as principal investigator. Architect since 1999 and Civil Engineer since 1992. He is the founder and partner of Imago – engineering and architecture studio lda (known as Cerejeira Fontes Arquitetos), based in Portugal since 1996. He is also the founder and partner of Cerejeira Fontes Aarsland Arkitektur, based in Bergen since 2019. He has received several awards throughout his career, including, among others, Archdaily Building of the Year in 2019 and 2011, Special Mention in the AADIPA – European Award for Architectural Heritage Intervention in 2019 and the International Prize for Young Architecture in 2013 by the International Committee of Architecture Critics. |

Eduardo Noronha

PhD in Design from the University of Aveiro since 2017, with the thesis "Vertical Integration of Design in Industry", funded by FCT through a Doctoral Scholarship in Business. Integrated Member of the Lab2PT Research Unit – Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory, and Collaborating Member of ID+ – Institute for Research in Design, Media and Culture of the University of Aveiro. He regularly conducts scientific research in thematic areas primarily focused on sustainable mobility and energy, the circular economy, and healthcare devices. He coordinates and participates in several nationally funded R&D projects and is the founder of the noronhadesign studio. |
Ivo Oliveira

Master's degree in "Architecture, Territory and Memory" from FCTUC in 2007. PhD in Architecture with a specialization in City and Territory from UM in 2015. He is a founding member of the Future Design of Streets association. He researches extensively urbanized territory, public space and the transformation of the Portuguese coastline. He is the Principal Investigator of the exploratory project STREET - Street Transformations, Rebalancing Ecology and Environmental Issues in Urban Territories, funded by the FCT. He is a member of the Green Gap project team, funded by the Interreg VA Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) program.

Pedro Bandeira

In 2015, he was awarded the AICA/Carmona e Costa Foundation Architecture Criticism Prize, and his most recent project, a Rotating House in Coimbra, won the Sustainability and Innovation Work Award from the Environmental Fund and the Portuguese Association of Architects. He has exhibited his work at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the BIA in São Paulo, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Guimarães European Capital of Culture 2012, MAAT, and the EDP Gallery, among other institutions. His research areas are: life cycle assessment (LCA) of materials, products, and construction elements; building sustainability assessment and certification (BSA); life cycle performance assessment of vernacular buildings; the circular economy in the construction sector; and the development of solutions for the integration of the life cycle assessment method into BIM.
